Car Dawgs; Bad Guys and Bodywork is the first in The Car Dawgs series based around the hot rod scene in rural Oklahoma. A set of thrillers about a group of car enthusiasts who are based at an old garage that has been turned into a bar, about Lynn and her friends Tooley, Gunner, Lisa and The Stubbs brothers in foiling the exploits of a local crime gang. This is a most unique series as a petrol head/gear head group of novels written by a woman who has been involved in the hot rod scene for years. It has a female point of view as distinct from the usual "macho hero" male standpoint in this genre. Therefore it will be of interest to both men who like a good thriller and or are car enthusiasts; or women who would like a refreshing change from stuff like 50 Shades and their ilk. Those who like a good read, but have never really thought about the odd male dominated world of hot rodding, but would like an entertaining insight. The book is illustrated with black and white photography of the various cars and places in the story. Susan was originally a copy writer and graphic designer for 3M before suffering a stroke several years ago and having to retire from 9 to 5 office work life.
